Quick Overview

Encased in a protective stainless steel chassis, the Athos features a sub ohm tank system designed for heavy hitting draws and dense clouds. A Pyrex glass tube is protected by a stainless steel shell with a large tank viewing window, combining rugged protection and seamless internal tank visibility. Equipped with a smooth airflow control ring at the bottom of the unit, the Athos can be controlled to suit any vapers airflow preferences from tight to wide open. The Athos can be easily filled through the top by screwing the top cap off of the unit, providing full access to the large 4.0mL tank. Pre-installed right out of the box, the Athos comes with a 0.16Ω Penta-coil to get you chuckin' clouds as soon as this puppy is filled up. A clear and comfortable conical shaped drip tip is installed on the unit, but can be swapped out with the wide bore delrin drip tip also included in the package to appeal to a wide range of users. The cutting edge in the sub ohm platform, the Athos by Aspire raises the bar by introducing top notch design and premium quality control.

Too much spitback Review by Srilesh

While everything else (build quality, vapor production, top-fill design, capacity) about this tank is great, I am plagued by the spitback. Have tried spitback control by
1. not over-priming using just 3 drops on the tri-coil & 5 drops on the penta-coil.
2. using a wick to soak up excess liquid from the chimney
3. turning up the wattage to 80 on the tri-coil & 120 on the penta-coil, taking shorter hits
4. firing a couple of times before inhaling, but the popping sound of liquid never goes
5. reducing airflow & inhaling gently helps - but it kills the overall athos experience.
6. have ensured that all parts are fit tight & O-rings have not worn off

No one else here has complained about spitback here. Does that mean my tank could be at fault?

Aspire is still my favorite Review by Jake

Bought my first sub ohm setup last year (SMOK OSUB 80) and I was thoroughly unimpressed with the tank that it came with. So, I picked up the original Aspire Cleito tank. Totally fell in love. Amazing flavor, long lasting coils, and virtually no leaks. I still have that tank as a matter of fact. A couple of months ago, I bought a completely new setup, a Wismec Predator 228 and the Aspire Cleito Exo. Okay, I thought, they finally redesigned the old Cleito. Cool. Top airflow, bigger coil, and supposedly leak proof. Big mistake. After dropping it once, the metal sleeve around the PLASTIC tank bent out of shape, breaking the bottom seal. Started leaking like crazy no matter how well the top was tightened. So I picked up the Athos. Pretty cool looking. Glass tank (yes!!) And a steel protective sleeve. Definitely a durable tank. The top fill design is the best one yet. Intense flavor, phenomenal clouds, and awesome airflow. Here's my gripe. The A5 pentacoil atomizer that is pre-installed loooves to leak. There's just too much space between the coils and not enough cotton. So I switched it out for the A3 triple coil atomizer. Oh man. Lemme tell you the story about 101 clouds. Set the wattage to about 72, and crank out clouds for days. Not a single leak, pop, or spitback. It is a thirsty tank, that's for sure. My only minor complaint is that once the juice starts to drop below the wick slots, you will get a dry hit if you're chain vaping. So let it sit for about 5 to 10 second's between hits (look for bubbles) and you'll be golden. Oh, and wipe the top of the tank off when you refill it to avoid drips. Just trust me. All in all I'm extremely happy with the Athos tank. Definitely sticking with Aspire for the foreseeable future. Thank you for bearing with me through this long winded review!

Excellent tank Review by Rodnie

Been trying to find a comparable tank that that gives me the flavor profile of my Smok baby beast tanks.
Smok is has the only tanks that I think give me the best flavor for my juice. I've tried several other sub ohm systems and can never get the flavor I get from Smok.
That is till now. This aspire tank is a flavor beast.
I've finally found a system that gives me that flavor profile I crave.
The Aspire Athos hits it out of the park.

Have not found the sweet spot yet. So I'm not really liking it. I really like the mod, feels and looks great. My best tank is the Vaporesso NRG GT8 coil. Smooth, cool and great flavor.

Before I get into it...full disclosure: I've always been an Aspire fanboy. My normal go to is the Cleito. Been vaping for a few years, and first ventured into multi coil tanks last year with the TFV8. Ran through all the diff coil heads, and pretty much just put it down. Just wasn't impressed with it performance and use wise. Decided to give it another try when Aspire brought out this tank. I've had it a couple days now. Now, it could just be the fanboy in me. But, I'm falling in love with this tank!! I always thought the TFV8's top fill was a little gimicky and never really felt solid. The Athos' top fill, eventhough just twist off, just has a better feel & function. Airflow, to me, is smoother on the Athos, and I'm enjoying the vapor/flavor production. Also, just feels more solid in design and function.. Using the 5 head coil at 110w. Haven't touched the 3 head coil....yet. Glad I pulled the trigger on it.
